About the Founder The Founder and Director of Sisters in Spirit Motorcycle Association for Women is Linda Blankenship, (Sparky to her friends). Her involvement the sport of motorcycling has been her entire life. Her family is responsible for the first organized clubs and activities in her home state. Her family history of involvement in motorcycling goes back to the 1920's. They have been involved in just about all phases of motorcycling from racing to building organizations from the ground up. Linda has served with several National organizations as a National Rally Coordinator, State Director, President of chapters and as a Training Coordinator. She has also served with The American Motorcyclist Association as a Field Representative for District 21. Linda is an advocate of safety in motorcycling and promotes the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. She also works to promote a positive image of motorcycling to the general public, along with the belief that motorcycling is a family sport. There is something for all ages in motorcycling. Linda also believes it is time for Women to come forward and make their place in the world of motorcycling, whether it be on a race track, long distance riding, or as a member in an all female motorcycle organization. Linda has the knowledge and experience to lead a successful organization for women and has the ability to achieve the goals she sets. She believes the main ingredients for success in anything you do is make it Simple and have FUN! |
