Hi y'all!

My name is Dawn. I'm currently living in Las Vegas with my unofficial hubby (we've been together for a little over 7 years, lived together for a little over 3 now). If we were still in Texas, we'd be common law married by now. Laughing

I ride a 1991 BMW K75RT. I bought her in November, took my first road trip as a driver a week later, laid it down that trip, and learned a few things. I rode her all 13 hours back home, though, as we were in New Mexico when it happened.

Now that the weather has warmed back up (I'm a weenie when it comes to the cold!), I'm riding her to work and school every day. Hard to beat 45mpg on the bike, compared to 23-26 in the car in town. Rolling Eyes

Welcome, Dawn -- glad to have you here. I take it you have legs if you're riding a BMW RT (or any kind of BMW for that matter, LOL). Sorry to hear about your first wipe out, but really glad you're here to tell us about it. Let us know how things are in Las Vegas.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody.

Granny, yeah, I guess I do have a little bit of leg. I'm 5'7", but the bike is fitted with a stock "short seat." It lowers it enough I can get flat footed, where on my hubby's bike (same body, regular seat, bigger engine), I'm sorta on my toes. Probably gives me a couple of inches I wouldn't have with the regular seat.

Welcome!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your story too! And glad you are around to tell it! I just got back (last month) from a ski trip in NM and can't wait to go back some day to do the enchanted circle on my bike...... looks like a great time and challenge too.

Hope you consider coming this way for the rally!!!!! It will be a blast.
