Personally... i would find this A LOT funnier if the stupid person were a man...ya know...seeing as this is a women's forum... _________________ ~~we ride under the same sun and rest under the same moon~~

I took this joke as the man being "stupid" since he IS the mechanic. He should have picked up on her dilemma a lot quicker. Think about it, he is most likely across the counter from the female who is writing out the 710 on paper. So, he should have immediately seen that she was writing OIL. Everytime I read this I laugh. I believe if females will look beyond the surface of the female in distress they would see other more subtle comedies among a story typically meant to be about women. Not everything is as it seems!
To each their own, but let's not put a damper on the views of others.
