Hello all,
For those of you who may not know...and for those of you who do...i wanted to start this thread with the name of the road trip so that people know where to go to look( and ask for ) information about the EPIC JOURNEY.
In case you do not know anything about it i will try to fill you in:
Last summer as I and fellow sister Linda were taking a break from riding i began to talk about turning 50 and how i would love to travel back to my home town of Duluth, Minnesota on my bike in order to commemorate such a milestone in my life. I wanted to celebrate this particular birthday because my sister Sally died when she was 50 and it just seems so very young now that i am here. So i did not want to waste time talking about things i wanted to do...i decided i was going to start doing them and Linda did hot hesitate at all and said she would come with me.
Linda has her own wonderful and EPIC reasons for coming.
Then I mentioned it on line here and a few women became interested and i think there are 3 or 4 who may be joining up with us as we get closer to Wisconsin..not certain how far along the the route they are planning on
riding, but we are glad to have them! I also, of course, told the rest of the Jersey Girl SIS and then MS Scarlett decided she would also come .....so we are leaving here in June....trailering our bikes into Ohio and then leaving from there to eventual get into Minnesota and travel around.
So...in order to keep the travelers as safe as possible i have opted to not share details on-line but rather to send our itinerary to any PAID IN FULL SIS MEMBER who would like to join for all or part of our journey.
When the time gets closer i will make certain we all have phone numbers and such....We here in Jersey have booked all of our accmodations....and if you need to know that (and if you have requested that info but i have not gotten it to you it is because i forgot and you need to send me another request...i don't think i forgot anyone..but you never know...things get hectic here)...if you need to know that i can send that to you also.
We would love to meet you out on the road...even if it is just for an afternoon....but if you think you would like to join us please let me know through a private message and I will get the info to you!
I have had patches made up too for anyone who is going who would like to commemorate the event...they are 12.00 each and are beautiful....i'll see if i can get a picture on this thread...)it has not been working well for me lately)...
HERES TO ALL OF OUR EPIC JOURNIES!!!

I bought a Garmin for my car (wasn't willing to come off the cash for one that was bike compatable) and I love it! I wandered around San Diego a few weekends ago and wasn't the least bit concerned about finding my motel at the end of the night. _________________ Dawn

Hey All.....guess what..it is almost time for the Epic to begin! I am sooo excited.....I will be thinking of all the Sisters as Scarlett and I head west....and as we pick up Lespring and hopefully Jen Vroom along the way.
I started this plan for the Epic because one of my 'real' sisters died from Breast Cancer when she was Fifty. I just turned Fifty...and it is way too young to be having to say goodbye. But she did. Now I figure ...every day is a gift and one that i am very grateful to have and not a day goes by that i don't think of my sister Sally and how short her life truly was.
It is not too late to join in..You can come for just a few days...meet us along the way and ride even just a few miles...how awesome to hook up and know we are sisters...ride for a couple of hours and part ways. So poignant, don't you think? If you are in or near Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Canada, Michigan, Pennsylvania or New Jersey and a paid member of SIS and want to join us for a few hours, a day, a couple of days or whatever, let me know. We want to ride with you and connect our members and our chapters and indeed our lives together in this wonderful and unique opportunity!!!! Find a couple of hours or a couple of days....life is too short not to!!!!
Ride Safe Sisters and enjoy your every day! _________________ ~~we ride under the same sun and rest under the same moon~~
