What a Hoot

Any funny happenings on ridesTINK writes: "What a Hoot!" That is my new phrase that will forever bring to mind wonderful, laughter inducing memories of my first trip to Tulsa and time spent with some of our incredible sisters!

For those of you who may have missed the information, there was an All Women's Expo of sorts in Tulsa, Ok. where SIS had a booth. The booth was stratigically placed between bras and purses. Quite frankly, the best place to be in term of foot traffic; for who doesn't need a good tight bra and a good sturdy "pocket book" :) while deftly handling a speeding (but well appointed) engine on wheels.
What with all the chatting I did with SIS members I often forgot to help those stopping by the booth for SIS information.
Twice over the weekend we participated in a 15 minute fashion show which gave the local Harley Dealership exposure (they donated the tw....top quality clothing for us to wear), but more importantly let the audience know that SIS riders are top quality women.
Over the three days we laughed lots, talked about riding, riding well and those times when we didn't ride so well.
Every sister I met made a lasting impression on me .....each one a unique person with much talent and a brilliant character. Each one a testament to the intelligence, strength, willpower, humor and love a woman is able to possess within her whole being. And I realized, after spending three wonderful days with our fearless leader Linda Blankenship, each SIS member adds a twinkle to Linda's eye.
I had a blast and am even more proud to be a part of this association. I know that as the years go by and I am privilaged to meet the rest of the amazing membership across the nation, my life will continue to be enhanced, my riding skills improved, my funny bone tickled and my zest for life nurtured and shared. Thanks for a great weekend 'ride' Tulsa and visiting SIS members!!!!
